Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced its sales figures for June 2026, achieving a total of 51,335 units. This milestone includes robust domestic sales of 39,635 units and significant export numbers totaling 11,700 units. The announcement, made on July 1, 2026, highlights the company’s resilience in navigating production challenges.

Overcoming Production Challenges

Despite facing a temporary production loss of 13,900 units due to a fire incident at one of its key suppliers’ manufacturing facilities, HMIL managed to maintain strong sales momentum. The company has implemented comprehensive measures, including securing automotive parts from alternative sources, to ensure production normalcy. Production operations have successfully returned to normal across all facilities as of June 22, 2026.

Future Outlook

Commenting on the results, Mr. Tarun Garg, MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to recover the lost production volume. He stated that the expected recovery would occur within the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27. This strategic approach underscores HMIL’s commitment to consistent growth and customer satisfaction.
