CESTAT Order and Remand
An appeal before the CESTAT concerning disputed CENVAT Credit on Outward Freight, amounting to Rs.2.33 crores, was set aside. The matter was subsequently remanded to the Original Authority via a CESTAT order dated 16th January 2026.
Final Orders and Outcome
The issue, after being remanded, was heard, and final orders were passed. The company has received a favorable outcome, with Rs.2.13 crores allowed in its favor. A demand for the balance amount of Rs.0.20 crores has been raised. The order was received by the company on 12.06.2026 at 15.08 Hrs.
Future Actions and Pending Disputes
The Ramco Cements Limited plans to file an appeal before the CESTAT for the disallowed amount of Rs.0.20 crores. Additionally, the company wishes to inform that disputes of a similar nature, pending with different statutory authorities (and included in the letter dated 14th August 2023), currently stand at Rs.2.58 crores as of today.
