Nestlé India Limited has officially responded to a news item published on moneycontrol.com on June 12, 2026. The article, titled “Nestle India declines over 3% after FSSAI issues notice over alleged insect detection in Maggi,” prompted a clarification from the company to both the BSE and NSE.

Rejection of Allegations

In its official statement, Nestlé India categorically rejects the allegations circulating in the media regarding the presence of infestation in Maggi noodles. The company stated that it is yet to receive the complaint sample from the complainant, whose account has been found to be unreachable. A detailed representation, supported by relevant facts, quality records from batch and market samples, and test reports, has already been submitted to the competent authorities.

Commitment to Quality Standards

Nestlé India reaffirmed its adherence to stringent quality and food safety standards across all its manufacturing operations. The company highlighted that comprehensive quality analysis performed on batch and market samples, submitted to an FSSAI Accredited lab, confirmed the absence of infestation. They expressed confidence that the facts and evidence will conclusively establish the truth of the matter.

Response to Exchange Queries

Regarding specific queries from the stock exchanges, Nestlé India stated that there were no negotiations taking place that would explain the news.
