Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited has announced a leadership transition, with Amar Sinha set to take over as the Managing Director effective June 1, 2026. He succeeds Alok Gupta, who will step down from the role at the end of business hours on May 31, 2026. Mr. Sinha brings over three decades of experience in the consumer and alco-beverage sectors to his new leadership position within the company.

Leadership Transition

The Board of Directors of Allied Blenders and Distillers has approved the appointment of Amar Sinha as the company’s new Managing Director and Key Managerial Personnel. This appointment is for a tenure of three years, commencing on June 1, 2026, and concluding on May 31, 2029. He will serve as an Additional Director, subject to approval from the company’s members.

About the New Managing Director

Amar Sinha is a seasoned industry professional recognized for his extensive leadership in the alco-beverage and consumer sectors. Throughout his career, he has successfully steered corporations through major phases of transformation and growth. His previous executive experience includes serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Radico Khaitan, Managing Director at Whyte & Mackay India, and holding key roles at the UB Group (Herbertsons). He has also received accolades including the Business Leader of the Year at the 2023 IndSpirit Awards and the Most Enterprising CEO of the Year (2015).

Strategic Continuity

Current Managing Director Alok Gupta will conclude his tenure on May 31, 2026. Following the transition, Amar Sinha will assume the responsibility of an authorized Key Managerial Personnel for matters related to material event disclosures. The company confirmed that Mr. Sinha is not related to any existing members of the Board and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any regulatory authority.
