The standalone net profit for the year stood at ₹23,303.22 crore, a significant increase from ₹13,275.26 crore in FY 2024-25. On a consolidated basis, the corporation achieved a total income of ₹5,26,119.17 crore and a profit for the period of ₹25,843.45 crore.
Operational Performance
BPCL maintained strong physical performance throughout the fiscal year. The company recorded a refinery throughput of 41.15 MMT. Domestic market sales demonstrated consistent growth, reaching 54.18 MMT, with an overall domestic market sales growth of 3.40%. Export sales also saw an upward trend, totaling 1.54 MMT for the year.
Exceptional Items and Strategic Updates
The financial results reflect an impairment loss of ₹4,349.13 crore concerning investments in its wholly owned subsidiary, Bharat PetroResources Limited (BPRL). This impairment was recognized following a re-evaluation of asset values. Additionally, the company recognized compensation of ₹3,164.15 crore from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) for under-recoveries on domestic LPG sales, which helped reduce its net cumulative negative buffer.
