Thomas Cook (India) Limited and SOTC Travel have announced a strategic long-term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vinpearl, the leading hospitality and entertainment brand in Vietnam. This partnership aims to strengthen travel offerings for Indian tourists by leveraging Vinpearl’s expansive destination portfolio, including resorts, golf courses, and theme parks. The collaboration marks a significant move to enhance curated travel experiences and market reach for both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segments.
Expanding Horizons in Vietnam
As of May 7, 2026, Thomas Cook (India) Limited and its group company, SOTC Travel, have formalised a strategic alliance with Vinpearl. This agreement positions Vinpearl as a preferred partner for Vietnam-bound travel, granting the companies access to exclusive inventory and priority availability across major Vietnamese destinations such as Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, and Hoi An.
Strategic Significance and Market Impact
This collaboration represents Vinpearl’s inaugural investment initiative within the Indian travel sector. By integrating Vinpearl’s extensive infrastructure—which includes over 17,300 hotel rooms, 15 theme parks, and 6 golf courses—with the omnichannel reach of Thomas Cook and SOTC, the companies intend to create seamless, high-quality experiences for the growing demographic of Indian travellers.
Driving Future Growth
The leadership teams of both organizations emphasize that Vietnam has become a pivotal growth market. Mr. Abraham Alapatt, President & Group Head at Thomas Cook (India) and SOTC, noted that the partnership reflects a commitment to unlocking the long-term potential of the India market. Similarly, Ms. Ngo Thi Huong, CEO of Vinpearl, stated that this alliance is central to their international expansion strategy, aimed at delivering tailored offerings to Indian consumers while solidifying Vietnam’s position as a preferred global tourism destination.
