Oswal Pumps Ltd. Secures ₹162 Crore Order for Solar Pumping Systems

Oswal Pumps Limited has received an empanelment order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to supply and install 6,896 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. Valued at approximately ₹162.06 crore (including GST), this project falls under the PM Kusum B Scheme. The initiative aims to support sustainable irrigation for farmers across Maharashtra, reducing reliance on conventional power sources and diesel-based equipment.

Project Overview and Objectives

The contract entails the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar water pumps in 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities. By deploying these systems, Oswal Pumps will facilitate 6,896 farming households in Maharashtra, significantly lowering input costs and carbon footprints for the agricultural sector. The project emphasizes the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy adoption in India.

Contract Execution and Maintenance

As per the agreement, the installation of these systems is to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The project also includes a 5-year comprehensive system warranty, along with repair, maintenance, and the integration of a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) to ensure operational efficiency. The letter of empanelment remains valid for a period of one year.
