UltraTech Cement has reported a historic financial performance for the year ended March 31, 2026. The company achieved record-breaking sales volumes, a 32% rise in consolidated PBIDT to ₹17,598 crores, and consolidated net profit crossing the ₹8,000 crore mark for the first time. Reflecting these milestones, the Board has recommended a special dividend of ₹240 per share.
Historic Financial Results
UltraTech Cement has delivered an exceptional financial performance for the fiscal year 2025-26. Consolidated net sales for the year reached a record ₹87,384 crores, representing a 17% increase compared to the previous fiscal. Profit after tax (before exceptional items) rose by 36% to ₹8,305 crores, marking the first time the company’s consolidated net profit has exceeded the ₹8,000 crore threshold.
Quarterly Highlights
For the fourth quarter (Jan-Mar 2026), the company reported net sales of ₹25,467 crores, a 12% year-on-year growth. Operating PBIDT reached an all-time quarterly high of ₹5,688 crores, a 20% increase over the same period last year. Operating margins expanded by 200 basis points, while the operating PBIDT per tonne increased by 11% to ₹1,253 per tonne.
Strategic Milestones and Capacity Expansion
The company achieved a major milestone during the year, with domestic grey cement capacity surpassing 200 MTPA. Following the commissioning of new units in April 2026 at Shahjahanpur, Visakhapatnam, and Patratu, the company’s total global capacity now stands at 205.5 MTPA. Furthermore, the company reported a significant transition in its energy mix, with green power now accounting for 43% of total power consumption, up from 34.4% in the prior year.
Special Dividend Announcement
In recognition of these achievements, including record operating cash flows of ₹14,398 crores, the Board of Directors has recommended a special dividend of ₹240 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2026. This decision marks a significant departure from the company’s ordinary dividend policy, signaling confidence in its financial stability and future growth trajectory.
