Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has injected Rs. 7.00 Crore into its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited. This capital infusion is earmarked for the development of a 2.20 GW greenfield manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. The facility will focus on the production of high-efficiency Solar DCR cells and Solar PV modules, marking a significant expansion of the company’s renewable energy manufacturing capabilities.

Boosting Solar Production Capabilities

On April 18, 2026, Shakti Pumps (India) Limited announced a strategic investment of Rs. 7.00 Crore into its subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Limited (SESL). This investment is designed to accelerate the company’s entry into the high-growth solar technology space. The primary objective of this project is to establish a state-of-the-art greenfield manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, specifically for the production of high-efficiency Solar DCR cells and Solar PV modules.

Strategic Growth and Capacity

The new manufacturing unit is set to achieve a production capacity of 2.20 GW, significantly enhancing the group’s footprint in the renewable energy sector. SESL, established in September 2010, has shown consistent financial growth, reporting a turnover of Rs. 216.53 Crores in FY 2025, up from Rs. 139.59 Crores in FY 2024 and Rs. 99.15 Crores in FY 2023.

Future Impact

By expanding beyond its existing portfolio of solar structures and rooftop solutions, the company aims to become a vertically integrated player in the solar market. This investment underscores Shakti Pumps’ commitment to strengthening India’s solar supply chain and capitalizing on the rising demand for indigenous solar components.
