Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced the appointment of two senior officials to key leadership roles within the organization. Effective April 06, 2026, Smt. Lata Madampath and Mr. Gourab Chand have been elevated to the position of Executive Director at the Corporation’s Central Office in Mumbai, following their extensive service tenures.

These changes, which became effective on April 06, 2026, reflect the company’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team with seasoned industry experts.
Smt. Lata Madampath, Executive Director (Personnel)
Smt. Lata Madampath takes on the role of Executive Director (Personnel). Joining the corporation in 1990, she brings over 35 years of experience to the role. A Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India with a background in Mathematics, her career spans key leadership assignments, including Regional Manager (Personnel & Industrial Relations) for the Western Zone and Secretary at the Council for Insurance Ombudsman, Kochi.
Mr. Gourab Chand, Executive Director (Chief Life Insurance Advisor)
Mr. Gourab Chand has been appointed as Executive Director (Chief Life Insurance Advisor). Since joining the corporation in 1992, he has held various strategic positions, including Senior Divisional Manager for the Asansol, Kolkata Suburban, and Howrah divisions. Prior to this new appointment, he served as the Regional Manager for Pension & Group Schemes in the Western Zone.
