The Board of Directors of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited has approved a key personnel transition concerning the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer roles. Ms. Sonia Bhandari will cease her appointment as the Interim Company Secretary and KMP effective April 19, 2026. She will be succeeded by Mr. Rameez Shaikh, effective April 20, 2026. Mr. Shaikh is appointed as the new Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, KMP, Senior Management Personnel, and Nodal Officer.
Key Managerial Personnel Transition Approved
At its meeting held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Board of Directors of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited sanctioned significant changes concerning the top governance roles within the organization, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Cessation of Interim Personnel
The Board noted and approved the cessation of Ms. Sonia Bhandari (Membership No.: A20650) from her roles as the Interim Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. This cessation will be effective from the closure of business hours of April 19, 2026. Ms. Bhandari will also cease to be the Key Managerial Personnel and Senior Management Personnel of the Company upon this date.
Appointment of New Leadership
Effective April 20, 2026, the Board has appointed Mr. Rameez Shaikh (Membership No.: A24939) to take over the critical functions. Mr. Shaikh will assume the roles of Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, Key Managerial Personnel, Senior Management Personnel, and Nodal Officer.
Furthermore, the Board has authorized Mr. Rameez Shaikh (contact email: [email protected]) to manage materiality determinations and execute disclosures to the Stock Exchanges concerning Regulation 30 requirements starting from April 20, 2026, alongside the existing Key Managerial Personnel.
Profile of Appointed Officer: Mr. Rameez Shaikh
Mr. Shaikh is detailed as a seasoned professional bringing over 16+ years of experience across corporate secretarial, legal, and compliance functions. His recent tenure includes serving as Company Secretary & Head Legal at Safari Industries India Ltd. since February 2018, where he successfully led the company’s listing on the NSE, managed private placement fund-raising, and oversaw ESOP/ESAR framework implementation. Previously, he was associated with Raymond Limited and Cipla in their secretarial teams.
Academically, Mr. Shaikh is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the National Law School of India University – Bengaluru and an LLB from New Law College, Mumbai.
