The Board of Directors of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited, acting upon the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, finalized two key decisions regarding its top executive roles during its meeting held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Cessation of Interim Officer
The Board noted and approved the cessation of Ms. Sonia Bhandari (Membership No.: A20650) from her roles as the Interim Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, Key Managerial Personnel, and Senior Management Personnel. This cessation will be effective from the closure of business hours on April 19, 2026.
Appointment of New Officer
Simultaneously, the Board approved the appointment of Mr. Rameez Shaikh (Membership No.: A24939) to take over these critical functions. Mr. Shaikh will assume the responsibilities of Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, Key Managerial Personnel, Senior Management Personnel, and Nodal Officer, effective April 20, 2026.
Authorization and Disclosure Mandate
Furthermore, the Board has authorized the newly appointed Mr. Rameez Shaikh to handle the determination of materiality for events or information and to manage all subsequent disclosures to the Stock Exchanges, effective April 20, 2026. He will share this authorization with other existing Key Managerial Personnel.
Profile of the Incoming Company Secretary
Mr. Rameez Shaikh brings over 16+ years of extensive experience across corporate secretarial, legal, and compliance functions. He is currently serving as the Company Secretary & Head Legal at Safari Industries India Ltd., a role he has held since February 2018. During his tenure there, he successfully led the company’s listing on the NSE and managed significant fundraising activities. Professionally, he is a Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, holds a Master’s degree in Business Law, and an LLB degree.
It is confirmed that Mr. Rameez Shaikh is not related to any Director of Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Limited.
