RITES Limited has announced the appointment of Shri Prem Singh Meena (DIN: 10855590) as Director (Projects), effective March 19, 2026. This appointment was approved by the Ministry of Railways. Shri Meena, an experienced IRSEE officer, assumes the role from Dr. Deepak Tripathi, who relinquished the additional charge. The Board confirmed the appointment, and the company’s director list has been updated accordingly (Annexure-B).
RITES Confirms New Director Appointment
RITES Limited has officially intimated the appointment of Shri Prem Singh Meena (DIN: 10855590) as a Director (Projects) of the Company. The appointment was formally approved by the Ministry of Railways via letter dated March 19, 2026.
The Board of Directors held a meeting on March 19, 2026, where they passed the resolution to appoint Shri Prem Singh Meena as an Additional Director, designated as Director (Projects), effective from his date of assuming charge, which was also March 19, 2026.
Furthermore, Dr. Deepak Tripathi (DIN: 10090267), who was holding the additional charge of Director (Projects), has relinquished the responsibility. Shri Meena has now officially assumed the charge of Director (Projects).
Profile of Shri Prem Singh Meena
Shri Prem Singh Meena is an IRSEE (Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers) officer from the 1990 batch, bringing over 34 years of experience in railway operations and infrastructure works.
- He holds a graduation degree in Electrical Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur.
- Previously, he served as Executive Director (Rail Infra, Metro and Project Co-ordination) in RITES Ltd., overseeing major assignments including Railway Electrification projects and PMC work for Metro Rail projects.
- He attended advanced management programs at INSEAD, Singapore, and ICLIF, Malaysia.
- Shri Meena is also the Nominee Director on the Board of REMC Limited, a Subsidiary of RITES Limited.
- It is confirmed that he is not related to any other director of the Company.
Updated Board Composition
The company has provided the updated List of Board of Directors following this change (detailed in Annexure-B). The board now includes Shri Rahul Mithal (Chairman & Managing Director), Dr. Deepak Tripathi (Director, Technical), Shri Krishna Gopal Agarwal (Director, Finance), and Shri Prem Singh Meena (Director, Projects).
