The Great Eastern Shipping Company has delivered its 2011 built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier “Jag Aarati” to its buyers. This vessel’s sale was initially contracted in Q3 FY26. Following this transaction, the company’s fleet now includes 39 vessels. These consist of 26 tankers and 13 dry bulk carriers, with a total capacity of 3.14 mn dwt.
Vessel Delivery
The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) announced the delivery of its 2011-built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, named “Jag Aarati,” to its new owners. The initial agreement for the vessel’s sale was finalized during Q3 FY26.
Fleet Composition
Following the completion of this transaction, Great Eastern Shipping’s operational fleet consists of 39 vessels. This includes a mix of tankers and dry bulk carriers:
- 26 Tankers: These comprise 5 Crude Tankers, 16 Product Tankers, and 5 LPG Carriers.
- 13 Dry Bulk Carriers: The dry bulk fleet includes 2 Capesize, 9 Kamsarmax, and 2 Supramax vessels.
The total deadweight tonnage of the fleet amounts to 3.14 mn dwt.
Future Transactions
In addition to the delivery, the company has also entered into agreements to expand and optimize its fleet. Great Eastern Shipping has contracted to:
- Purchase one secondhand Ultramax Dry Bulk Carrier.
- Purchase one secondhand Medium Range Tanker.
- Sell one Very Large Gas Carrier, “Jag Vishnu”.
These transactions are anticipated to be completed in Q4 FY26.
