Delhivery Launches Autonomous TMS to Automate Logistics Via AI Agents

Delhivery has launched TransportOne, an Autonomous Transport Management System (TMS) that uses AI Agents to automate logistics. The platform aims to eliminate manual workload by automating freight procurement, planning, execution, and reconciliation. Enterprise shippers can now use AI Agents to negotiate rates, plan shipments, and reconcile invoices, shifting logistics teams from data visibility to automated action. This innovative approach requires managing only exceptions.

Introducing TransportOne by Delhivery

Delhivery’s TransportOne is now launching its Autonomous Transport Management System (TMS) to automate logistics via Al Agents. This will provide enterprise shippers access to a software platform for logistics that utilizes Al Agents to negotiate rates, plan shipments, and reconcile invoices.

Key Benefits of the New System

The system is designed to eliminate significant manual workloads by automating freight procurement, planning, execution, and reconciliation. Additionally, it embeds compliance directly into existing workflows. Traditional transportation management software digitizes operations but requires constant human input, whereas Delhivery TransportOne only requires managing by exception.

How TransportOne Works

According to Uday Anand, Vice President of Product at TransportOne, traditional TMS platforms digitize transportation workflows but rely on humans to operate them. TransportOne autonomously runs those workflows, and the AI Agents plan, negotiate, monitor, and validate freight in the background, escalating only true exceptions. Users move from operating the system to supervising the outcomes.

Multi-Agent Design

The platform employs a multi-agent design to handle specific transportation functions. Procurement Agents manage spot auctions and carrier selection. Execution Agents monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays, and Invoice Agents validate freight bills by reconciling contracts, GPS data, and proof of delivery.

Reducing Revenue Leakage

Unlike traditional automation, the Al Agents dynamically make decisions to reduce revenue leakage caused by rate deviations and billing errors, removing the need for complex dashboards. Users can interact with the system through Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp, using natural language to issue commands and receive recommendations. The platform functions as an autonomous operator that functions quietly in the background and involves humans only when judgment is required.
