Balkrishna Industries (BKT) has announced key decisions from its Board meeting, including the re-appointment of Mr. Arvind Poddar as Chairman & Managing Director and the appointment of Mr. Natarajan Gnanaskandan Tanjore and Mr. Ashok Saraf as Directors. Additionally, the company has completed one line of its Carbon Black Production facility, increasing total capacity to 2,65,000 TPA. Further Carbon Black expansion is progressing on schedule.
Key Leadership Appointments
The Board has approved the re-appointment of Mr. Arvind Poddar as Chairman & Managing Director for a further 5 years, effective August 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. His leadership has been critical in BKT’s growth in the off-highway tire segment.
Mr. Natarajan Gnanaskandan Tanjore has been appointed as an Independent Director for a term of 5 years starting February 1, 2026, pending shareholder approval. Mr. Tanjore brings extensive experience in finance and capital markets.
Additionally, Mr. Ashok Saraf will join the Board as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, also effective February 1, 2026, subject to shareholder approval. His expertise spans multiple industries, including textiles and pharmaceuticals.
Carbon Black Production Update
Balkrishna Industries announced the completion of one line of its Carbon Black Production facility. This expansion increases the company’s total installed Carbon Black Capacity to 2,65,000 TPA. The remaining portion of the Carbon Black project is proceeding as planned, aiming for completion in early 2026. This investment reflects BKT’s commitment to vertically integrating its supply chain.
