Power Finance Corporation Subsidiary Incorporates Raigad Power Transmission

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has announced the incorporation of Raigad Power Transmission Limited as a wholly-owned subsidiary of PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL). This Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will support the establishment of a 765/400/220 kV AIS Kandalgaon transmission system. PFCCL is appointed as Bid Process Coordinator for the project, which aims to enhance power transmission infrastructure.

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has announced the incorporation of Raigad Power Transmission Limited as a wholly-owned subsidiary of PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL). This strategic move aims to facilitate the development of a key power transmission project.

Project Details

The newly formed Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is intended for the “Establishment of 765/400/220 kV AIS Kandalgaon (Dist. Raigad)”. This project underscores PFC’s commitment to strengthening power infrastructure.

PFCCL’s Role as Bid Process Coordinator

Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) has appointed PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) as Bid Process Coordinator (BPC) vide Letter of Intent dated August 14, 2025. PFCCL’s role encompasses the selection of a Bidder as Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff Based Competitive Bidding Process.

SPV’s Responsibilities

As per guidelines, the SPV is required to undertake preparatory activities such as project profiling, land acquisition, and forest clearance. Once the bidding process is complete, the SPV will be transferred to the successful bidder. The announcement was made on November 17, 2025.
