Jyothy Labs Reports Q2 FY27 Performance

Jyothy Labs Limited today announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. The company demonstrated underlying business growth, supported by strong performance in Fabric Care and sustained momentum in its Exo franchise, alongside new product launches and contributions from emerging trade channels. Excluding the Pril and Fa businesses, revenue grew by 12.4% in value and 8.1% in volume during the quarter.

The broader FMCG operating environment presented challenges with uneven demand recovery and unprecedented inflation in raw materials. Despite healthy underlying growth, the company’s profitability was significantly impacted by elevated commodity costs and the consumption of higher-cost inventories. Management is focused on progressively restoring margins through calibrated pricing, procurement efficiencies, value engineering, improved product mix, and cost discipline.

Financial Highlights – Q2 FY27 (YoY)

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹760 crore, representing 3.3% reported value growth.
  • Excluding Pril and Fa: Revenue growth of 12.4% in value and 8.1% in volume.
  • Operating EBITDA: ₹19.2 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 2.5%, reflecting significant input cost inflation.
  • Profit After Tax: ₹10.6 crore.

Financial Highlights – H1 FY27 (YoY)

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹1,533 crore, representing 3.1% reported value growth.
  • Excluding Pril and Fa: Revenue growth of 10.2% in value and 6.2% in volume.
  • Operating EBITDA: ₹83.9 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 5.5%.
  • Profit After Tax: ₹58.2 crore.

Segment Performance

Fabric Care

The Fabric Care segment maintained strong growth, delivering 10.4% value growth and 6.4% volume growth during the quarter. Growth was broad-based, led by continued momentum in liquid detergents and supported by healthy performance in detergent powders and bars.

Home Care

The Home Care segment delivered healthy underlying growth of 15.3% in value and 13.1% in volume, excluding Pril sales. The Exo franchise showed strong momentum, supported by expanding distribution. The newly launched bio enzyme-based Exo Dishwash Liquid has received an encouraging consumer response.

Personal Care

Personal Care recorded 11.2% value growth during the quarter, while volumes declined marginally. The Margo franchise benefited from focused brand investments and improved market visibility. The introduction of Margo Gentle, a glycerine bathing soap, in new variants has expanded the brand’s presence in differentiated personal cleansing formats.

Chairperson’s Commentary

Ms. M. R. Jyothy, Chairperson and Managing Director, stated, “Q2 demonstrated the strength of our underlying business, delivering 12.4% value growth and 8.1% volume growth, excluding Pril and Fa, supported by healthy momentum in Fabric Care, Exo and new product launches. However, unprecedented inflation in raw material and packaging costs significantly impacted profitability, despite our pricing and cost efficiency measures. While near term margin pressures may persist, we remain confident of sustaining double-digit underlying value growth in the coming quarters. Our priorities are to accelerate new launches, strengthen core brands and progressively restore margins through calibrated pricing, operational efficiencies and disciplined cost management.”
