HCLTech: Launches AI Nano GCCs on AWS for Enterprise Scale-Up

HCLTech has launched an AI-powered nano Global Capability Center (GCC) offering, built on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This new initiative aims to help enterprises transition from AI experimentation to tangible business outcomes. The offering is designed for both established GCCs and mid-market enterprises seeking a low-risk platform to accelerate their AI journey, enabling faster, more scalable AI adoption.

HCLTech Launches Al-Powered Nano Global Capability Centers on AWS

NOIDA, India and SYDNEY, Oct 28, 2026 – HCLTech, a leading global technology company, today announced the launch of an Al-powered nano Global Capability Center (GCC) offering, built on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This new offering is designed to assist enterprises in moving from Al experimentation to achieving high-value business outcomes.

The nano GCC model is an integral part of HCLTech’s GCC 360 solution suite. It synergizes HCLTech’s GCC advisory capabilities with its Al platforms, including Al Force. This innovative model is specifically tailored for two distinct enterprise profiles:

  • Established GCCs that require a non-disruptive method to drive Al-led transformation, utilizing a hub-and-spoke model anchored from HCLTech’s Lucknow campus.
  • Mid-market enterprises looking for a low-risk platform to accelerate their Al journey, especially those hesitant about entering new geographies without an established presence.

In both scenarios, the nano GCC enables organizations to initiate projects with a focused scope, establish Al-native operating models, and reduce setup cycles, while progressively demonstrating value and scaling their operations. Unlike traditional GCC models, the nano GCC is built around compact, product-centric squads, Al-enabled workflows, and a strategic land-and-expand approach. The service portfolio includes Al-native engineering, autonomous IT operations, advanced data and analytics, and intelligent business operations, all underpinned by responsible Al governance.

AWS Partnership and Global Strategy

HCLTech leads the operating model design and implementation, while AWS provides joint go-to-market support and access to agentic Al services, such as Amazon Bedrock, Kiro, and AWS Transform, to expedite delivery. This nano GCC offering is a key component of HCLTech’s broader global strategy, with the Asia Pacific (APAC) region serving as the initial rollout phase. Delivery will be managed through HCLTech’s India-based organization, supported by its Center of Excellence in Lucknow, leveraging India’s extensive pool of technology and engineering talent.

Kiran Cherukuri, Executive Vice President & Global GCC Practice Leader at HCLTech, stated, “The nano GCC model is at an inflection point. What began as a cost and talent strategy is becoming the primary engine for enterprise Al capability building. The question for most organizations is no longer whether to build Al-native operations, but how to do it without the drag of legacy setup models. The nano GCC is our answer to that urgency.”

Prabhakar Appana, Senior Vice President and Global Head of the AWS Ecosystem Business Unit at HCLTech, added, “By combining HCLTech’s GCC expertise and Al capabilities with the scalability, security, and agentic Al services of AWS, the nano GCC offering gives enterprises a faster, lower-risk path to building Al-native operations.”

Amit Anshu, Head of GSI and IT Business, AWS India and South Asia, commented, “Enterprises across Asia Pacific want to build Al-native operations with speed and confidence. AWS provides cloud infrastructure, agentic Al services, and DevOps capabilities that power HCLTech’s nano GCC offering. This helps organizations move from pilot to production and scale as their business demands evolve.”
