NLC India: Forms Green Energy JV with PTC India

NLC India Limited has announced the incorporation of a joint venture company, ‘NIRL PTC RENEWABLES LIMITED,’ with PTC India Limited. This new entity will focus on developing green energy projects across India. NLC India Limited will hold a 74% equity stake, while PTC India Limited will hold 26%. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the Certificate of Incorporation on September 16, 2026, marking a significant step in NLC India’s renewable energy expansion.

New Joint Venture for Green Energy Projects

NLC India Limited (‘NLCIL’) has officially incorporated a joint venture company named ‘NIRL PTC RENEWABLES LIMITED’. This new venture is a collaboration with PTC India Limited and is established with the primary objective of developing green energy projects throughout India. The incorporation marks a strategic expansion for NLCIL into the renewable energy sector.

Equity Stake and Incorporation Date

Under the terms of the joint venture agreement, NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NLC India Limited, will hold a significant equity participation of 74%. PTC India Limited will hold the remaining 26%. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has formally issued the Certificate of Incorporation for the joint venture company on September 16, 2026.

This initiative underscores NLCIL’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to India’s clean energy goals.
