The company reported a total of 9.4 million passengers, marking a 0.9% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. This growth reflects a stable trend in air travel demand across its key operational airports.

Key Passenger Traffic Highlights

The monthly traffic data for August 2026 indicates a continuation of positive momentum for GMR Airports. Domestic passenger traffic reached 7.1 million, showing a modest growth of 1.1% YoY. International passenger traffic recorded 2.4 million passengers, up by 0.5% YoY. The company noted that average monthly traffic has been maintained at approximately 10 million passengers for the year-to-date (YTD) FY27.

Aircraft Movements Show Strong Increase

In terms of operations, aircraft movements saw a significant increase, with a total of 62,498 movements reported in August 2026, a 6.3% rise compared to the previous year. This uptick in movements suggests increased flight activity and operational capacity utilization across the GMR Airports network.

Notable Performance and Milestones

The report also highlighted key operational achievements. Delhi Airport (DEL) has demonstrated resilience, reporting its highest-ever YTD volumes for total, domestic, and international passenger traffic, as well as for ATMs and cargo throughput. Furthermore, significant milestones include GMR Airports crossing 49.0 million passengers for YTD FY27, with domestic passenger traffic reaching 37.2 million. Bhogapuram Airport also commenced commercial operations on August 17, 2026.

Airport-Specific Performance

Delhi Airport handled 6.1 million passengers in August 2026, with domestic traffic at 4.4 million and international at 1.7 million. Hyderabad Airport (HYD) saw 2.2 million passengers, comprising 1.7 million domestic and 0.5 million international. Mopa (Goa) Airport recorded 0.29 million passengers, with 0.28 million domestic and 0.01 million international.
