Uno Minda: Approves ₹1,405 Crore Capex for Multiple Expansions, ₹600 Crore NCDs

Uno Minda’s Board of Directors has approved a series of significant expansions, including a new two-wheeler alloy wheel plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, with an estimated capex of INR 155 crore. The company will also expand its Casting Division in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with a capex of INR 510 crore, and increase capacity at its subsidiary Uno Minda Kyoraku Limited in Bengaluru with an INR 80 crore investment. Additionally, an associated company, Toyoda Gosei South India Private Limited, will set up a facility in Maharashtra for INR 670 crore. The board also greenlit the issuance of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) up to INR 600 crore and Commercial Papers up to INR 500 crore.

Uno Minda Board Approves Major Capacity Expansions and Funding

The Board of Directors of Uno Minda Limited, in a meeting held on September 14, 2026, has given its nod to several significant growth initiatives, including substantial capital expenditures for new plants and capacity expansions, alongside approvals for debt financing instruments. These decisions are aimed at bolstering the company’s manufacturing capabilities and meeting growing market demand.

Key Project Approvals

New Plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana

A Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the AW2W division has been approved for setting up a new two-wheeler alloy wheel plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana. This facility will have an annual capacity of 3.3 million units. The project includes the strategic relocation of 2.0 million units of existing capacity from Supa, Maharashtra. The estimated additional capital expenditure for this plant is approximately INR 155 crore.

Casting Division Expansion in Hosur, Tamil Nadu

The Board has also approved a DPR for the capacity expansion of the Casting Division, LPS Domain, by establishing a new greenfield facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. This plant will cater to various applications, including EV/Powertrain and HPDC 2-wheels alloy wheels. The land for this project has already been acquired. The estimated incremental capex for this facility is approximately INR 510 crore, with existing operations to be consolidated by Q1 FY 2029.

Capacity Expansion at Bengaluru Plant

A DPR for capacity expansion at the Bengaluru plant of its subsidiary, Uno Minda Kyoraku Limited, has been approved. This project involves a total estimated capex of approximately INR 80.00 crore.

Facility at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra

The Board has approved the DPR for Toyoda Gosei South India Private Limited (TGSIN), an associate of the company, for setting up a facility at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. This plant will manufacture interior and exterior automotive products, airbags, hoses, and body sealing parts, with a total estimated capex of approximately INR 670.00 crore.

Financial Approvals

Issuance of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs)

The Board has granted approval for the issuance of Listed, Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) up to INR 600 crore. These NCDs can be issued in one or more tranches for various funding requirements. The NCD Committee has been authorized for the offer, issue, and allotment of these debentures.

Issuance of Commercial Papers

Approval has also been granted for the issuance of Commercial Papers (CPs), listed or unlisted, up to a revolving limit of INR 500 crore, from time to time.
