Info Edge (India) Limited has announced significant changes to its leadership team, aimed at strengthening its financial and directorial capabilities. The Board of Directors, in a meeting held on September 14, 2026, approved the appointment of Mr. Himanshu Agarwal as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Additional Director, with effect from September 17, 2026. Mr. Agarwal is also designated to serve as a Whole-time Director.
New Independent Director Appointed
Further strengthening the Board’s expertise, Mr. Naresh Chand Gupta has been appointed as an Additional Director. He will be designated as a Non-Executive Independent Director for a period of five consecutive years, commencing October 1, 2026, and concluding on September 30, 2031. This appointment is subject to shareholder approval via Postal Ballot. Mr. Gupta is not related to any existing Directors and is qualified to hold the office.
Transition in Financial Leadership
In line with these appointments, the tenure of Mr. Ambarish Raghuvanshi as the Interim Chief Financial Officer (Interim CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) will conclude at the close of business hours on September 16, 2026. Mr. Raghuvanshi will continue to support the Company as a Finance Advisor and Senior Management Personnel until October 31, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition and handover of responsibilities to Mr. Agarwal.
Reconstitution of Board Committees
Following these changes, the Board of Directors has also reconstituted key committees. Mr. Himanshu Agarwal has been inducted as a member of the Risk Management Committee and the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting Committee, effective September 17, 2026.
Updated KMP Authorizations
The Company has also revised the authorization for determining the materiality of events and making disclosures to stock exchanges. The updated list of Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) authorized for these purposes, effective September 17, 2026, includes Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Mr. Hitesh Oberoi, Mr. Himanshu Agarwal, and Ms. Jaya Bhatia.
Leadership Continuity and Experience
The company highlighted the extensive experience of both appointees. Mr. Naresh Chand Gupta brings expertise in leadership, business management, technology, and fund management, with academic credentials from IIT Kanpur and the University of Maryland. Mr. Himanshu Agarwal possesses over three decades of experience in finance leadership, corporate governance, mergers, and acquisitions.
