NTPC Green Energy: 6.3 MW Vanki Wind Project Achieves Commercial Operation

NTPC Green Energy Limited has announced the commercial operation of the second part capacity of 6.3 MW for the Vanki Wind Energy Project. Located in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat, this project is part of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary. This development brings the NTPC Green Energy Limited group’s total installed capacity to 10,842.86 MW.

Commercial Operation Declared for Vanki Wind Project

NTPC Green Energy Limited has officially declared the commercial operation of a 6.3 MW capacity unit for its Vanki Wind Energy Project. This segment represents the second part of the project’s overall capacity. The Vanki Wind Energy Project is situated in Nakhatrana, Kutch, Gujarat.

Subsidiary Project and Capacity Increase

The Vanki Wind Energy Project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited. The commercial operation of this 6.3 MW unit commenced on September 13, 2026, at 00:00 hrs.

Group Capacity Expansion

Following this announcement, the current commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group now stands at 10,836.56 MW. With the addition of the new capacity from the Vanki Wind Project, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 10,842.86 MW.
