Safari Industries: KYC Update Mandated for Physical Shareholder Dividend Payments

Safari Industries (India) Limited has announced a mandatory requirement for physical shareholders to update their PAN, KYC, and nomination details. This directive, following a SEBI Master Circular, aims to facilitate the unblocking of withheld final dividends for FY2025-26. Shareholders who fail to comply will have their dividends and unclaimed bonus shares kept on hold until the KYC details are furnished. The company provides links to relevant forms and instructions for updating information with its Registrar and Share Transfer Agent, MUFG Intime India Private Limited.

Safari Industries Mandates KYC Update for Physical Shareholders

Safari Industries (India) Limited has issued an important intimation to its physical shareholders regarding the mandatory furnishing and updating of their Permanent Account Number (PAN), Know Your Customer (KYC) details, and nomination information. This action is in compliance with a recent SEBI Master Circular and is crucial for the continued disbursal of dividends and other shareholder services.

Dividend Payment Implications

For physical shareholders, the final dividend payable for the financial year FY2025-26 has been withheld due to non-updation of KYC details. According to the company’s announcement, dividend amounts will be kept on hold and paid only through electronic mode upon the complete submission of all required KYC details. Similarly, the entitlement to lodge grievances or avail any service request from the Registrar & Share Transfer Agent (RTA) is contingent upon furnishing these updated details.

The dividend per share for FY2025-26 is ₹2.00. The gross dividend amount and net dividend amount will be calculated based on the number of equity shares held, but the payment is currently suspended for non-compliant shareholders. Bonus shares lying in the unclaimed suspense account are also affected.

How to Update KYC Details

Physical shareholders are required to furnish their PAN, contact details (including postal address and mobile number), bank account details, specimen signature, and nomination choice. The necessary forms, such as ISR-1, ISR-2, SH-13/SH-14, or ISR-3, are available on the company’s website (https://safaribags.com/pages/investor-relations#investor_contacts) and the RTA’s website (https://web.in.mpms.mufg.com/KYC-downloads.html). Shareholders can submit the duly filled and signed documents with supporting proofs physically to MUFG Intime India Private Limited at their Mumbai address or update them online via https://web.in.mpms.mufg.com/KYC/index.html.

The company strongly urges shareholders to dematerialize their shares at the earliest to avoid such procedural requirements in the future.
