Dhaksha Unmanned Systems Inaugurates New Manufacturing Facility

Coromandel International Limited has announced the inauguration of a new manufacturing facility for its subsidiary, Dhaksha Unmanned Systems Private Limited, located in the Aymicheri region of Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. This event, which took place on August 24, 2026, marks a significant step in enhancing India’s indigenous drone manufacturing capabilities across critical sectors, including agriculture, defence, and enterprise.

Strategic Importance and Capabilities

The new facility is designed to support the development and execution of complex Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) programs. It aims to foster greater indigenisation of key technologies and improve the company’s ability to meet evolving customer demands. The facility will serve as a central platform for collaboration, enabling technology partners to combine expertise and accelerate the development of an integrated drone manufacturing ecosystem.

New Agricultural Drone Models Launched

During the inauguration, Dhaksha also launched two new agricultural drone models: the DH Agrigator E10 Prime and the DH Agrigator E10 Eco. Developed with indigenous components, the E10 Prime aligns with the Namo Drone Didi programme, contributing to India’s domestic drone ecosystem. The E10 Eco is positioned as an affordable solution to expand access to drone-based farming services for small and marginal farmers.

Defence and Service Expansion

Beyond agriculture, the facility will support Dhaksha’s defence portfolio, focusing on surveillance and logistics applications. A dedicated production line for defence applications will enhance execution capabilities and indigenisation efforts. The company is also expanding its sourcing and service ecosystem, including a network of service centres, to support its growing operations.
