Engineers India Ltd: Q1 FY27 Profit Up 55% to ₹109 Crore

Engineers India Limited announced its Q1 FY27 results, reporting a significant 55% increase in profit before tax to ₹145 crore and profit after tax to ₹109 crore. This growth was driven by strong performance in the consultancy segment and improved operating and EBITDA margins. The company also highlighted a robust order book and positive outlook for future growth.

Strong Financial Performance in Q1 FY27

Engineers India Limited (EIL) has reported robust financial results for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (ending June 30, 2026). The company achieved a profit before tax of ₹145 crore, marking a substantial 55% increase compared to ₹94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year (Q1 FY25-26). Similarly, the profit after tax saw a 55% rise, reaching ₹109 crore in Q1 FY26-27, up from ₹70 crore in Q1 FY25-26.

Key Financial Highlights

The company’s operating margin for the quarter stood at around 14%, translating to ₹108 crore, a significant improvement from 7% (₹59 crore) in the quarter ended June 2025. EBITDA also showed strong growth, reaching ₹155 crore with an EBITDA margin of 18.55%, compared to ₹104 crore with an 11.72% margin in the same period last year. However, the company’s turnover for the quarter was ₹801 crore, a slight decrease from ₹857 crore in Q1 FY25-26.

Segment Performance and Order Book

The Consultancy and Engineering segment recorded a turnover of ₹499 crore, showing an approximate 22% growth compared to INR408 crore in June ’25. The Turnkey segment turnover was ₹302 crore in June ’26, down from INR449 crore in June ’25, attributed to the tapering of certain major projects. Despite this, the company has secured new orders in the Turnkey segment, with expected momentum in execution in coming quarters. On a consolidated basis, profit increased significantly to ₹157.94 crore from ₹65.4 crore year-on-year. The order book position stood at ₹14,424 crore as of June 30, 2026, comprising ₹10,498 crore from the consultancy segment and ₹3,926 crore from the Turnkey segment. Order inflow in Q1 FY26-27 was ₹514 crore.
