Info Edge Reports Robust Q1 FY27 Performance

Info Edge (India) Limited has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY27, reporting a significant uptick in billings driven by its core businesses. Standalone billings saw a growth of over 14% year-on-year, with the recruitment segment and the real estate platform 99acres.com emerging as key contributors, accounting for approximately 90% of the total billings.

Financial Highlights and Segment Performance

At the standalone InfoEdge level, revenue grew 12% YoY to Rs.824 crores, while operating profit surged by 33% to Rs.334 crores, achieving an operating PBT margin exceeding 40%. Cash generated from operations increased by 25% to Rs.225 crores, with the company maintaining a healthy cash balance of Rs.5,034 crores at the end of the quarter.

Recruitment Business Strength

The recruitment business demonstrated strong momentum, with billings growing over 17% and revenue up 13%. Operating profit in this segment saw a 25% increase, maintaining a healthy operating PBT margin of 58%. The company attributed this growth to better enterprise renewal rates, stable hiring activity, and improved performance in the premium segment. Newer monetization levers such as Al-Rex and Talent Pulse are also contributing to increased ARPU.

99acres.com Shows Significant Improvement

The real estate platform, 99acres.com, delivered a strong quarter, with billings and revenue growing by approximately 17%. Operating PBT losses were significantly reduced by 89%, bringing the business close to break-even. Consumer traffic leadership was maintained with strong app and web timeshare figures. The platform saw substantial growth in property inquiries, driven by expanding supply and improved customer engagement.

Jeevansathi and Shiksha Updates

The matchmaking portfolio, including Jeevansathi and Aisle, collectively grew billings by 20% YoY. Jeevansathi grew 14%, while Aisle showed strong momentum with 44% billing growth. The Shiksha business experienced a decline in billings by 23% and revenue by 12%, with the company investing in domestic counselling capabilities and AI-driven voicebots to navigate headwinds.

AI Integration and Future Outlook

Info Edge emphasized the increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence across its platforms. Al-Rex, an AI-powered offering for recruiters, has seen commercial adoption accelerating, with over 4,000 enterprise customers. Talent Pulse, the AI-powered Talent and Salary Intelligence Platform, serves over 600 paid customers. The company is confident that these AI-driven initiatives will be key drivers for future growth and monetization, enhancing customer experience and creating new revenue streams.
