NMDC: Iron Ore Prices Revised Effective August 8, 2026

NMDC Limited has announced revised prices for its iron ore products, effective August 8, 2026. The company has fixed the price for Lump Ore (65.5%, 10-40mm) at ₹5,250 per ton and Fines (64%, -10mm) at ₹4,500 per ton. These prices are on a FOR (Freight on Road) basis and exclude various statutory charges and taxes.

NMDC Limited, a prominent player in the mining sector, has officially communicated its updated pricing for iron ore. These new rates are set to be implemented from August 8, 2026, as per a recent disclosure. This revision is a key development for stakeholders, impacting the company’s revenue streams directly.

Key Price Adjustments

The company has detailed the pricing for its primary iron ore products:

  • Lump Ore (with specifications of 65.5% Fe content and particle size between 10-40mm) will be priced at ₹5,250 per ton.
  • Fines (with specifications of 64% Fe content and particle size below 10mm) will be priced at ₹4,500 per ton.

It is important to note that these stated prices are on a FOR (Freight on Road) basis. This means they represent the cost up to the point of delivery. All applicable charges such as Royalty, DMF (District Mineral Foundation), NMEDT (National Mine Environment Protection & Development Trust), Cess, Forest Permit Fee, transit fee, GST (Goods and Services Tax), environmental Cess, and any other taxes are exclusive of these announced prices.

This pricing revision is a standard operational update and is crucial for market participants to understand the current cost structure of NMDC’s key commodity.
