The company’s revenue from operations grew by 2.3% year-on-year, reaching INR 1,089 crore in Q1 FY’27, compared to INR 1,065 crore in Q1 FY’26.
Key Financial Highlights
The gross margin for the quarter saw a significant uplift of 130 basis points, standing at 32.3% in Q1 FY’27, up from 31.0% in the prior year’s corresponding quarter. The Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) margin also improved substantially to 6.6%, a considerable increase from 2.5% in Q1 FY’26. This was driven by strong performance in the Consumer Lighting segment and improved operating leverage in the Consumer Products segment. The company ended the quarter with robust cash and cash equivalents of INR 884 crore as of June 30, 2026.
Segmental Performance
The Consumer Products (CP) segment witnessed a growth of 2% on a year-on-year basis, with Appliances and Morphy Richards performing strongly, partially offset by lower sales in summer products. The Lighting Solutions (LS) segment reported a 4.4% growth, primarily driven by strong performance in Consumer Lighting, while Professional Lighting remained stable with a steady order book. The commentary noted that EBIT margins for Lighting Solutions dropped due to ongoing projects in Professional Lighting.
New Product Launches and Brand Initiatives
In line with its strategy to enhance market presence, Bajaj Electricals highlighted new product launches. The company introduced 7 new BLDC fan models, emphasizing energy savings and sleek designs. Additionally, 85 new Professional Lighting products were launched, including street lights, luminaires, and solar poles, showcasing the company’s innovation across its product portfolio. The brand also actively engaged in various print, influencer, and topical marketing campaigns across India to drive awareness and engagement.
