HDFC Asset Management Company Limited has announced the early retirement of Mr. V. Suresh Babu, Head – Operations and Senior Management Personnel (SMP). Mr. Babu, who was due to retire in June 2027, tendered his resignation on July 31, 2026, to pursue personal interests. The Board has approved the reallocation of his responsibilities to existing SMPs, Mr. Sameer Seksaria and Mr. Naozad Sirwalla, effective October 1, 2026.
HDFC AMC Announces Senior Management Change
HDFC Asset Management Company Limited has officially disclosed a change in its senior management personnel. Mr. V. Suresh Babu, who held the position of Head – Operations and was a key member of the Senior Management Personnel (SMP) team, has tendered his resignation for early retirement. His last working day with the company is set for September 30, 2026, with his resignation effective July 31, 2026.
Reason for Resignation and New Responsibilities
Mr. Babu, who has been associated with the company for 26 years since its inception, requested early retirement to pursue personal interests. The company’s Board, upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, has accepted his resignation. Effective October 1, 2026, his responsibilities will be reallocated. Mr. Sameer Seksaria, Head – Client Services, will now oversee Operations and Information Technology functions, in addition to his existing role. Mr. Naozad Sirwalla, Chief Financial Officer, will assume responsibility for the Administration function, also adding to his current duties. Both Mr. Seksaria and Mr. Sirwalla are existing SMPs of the company.
Mr. Suresh Babu’s Tenure and Company’s Appreciation
During his long tenure, Mr. Babu played a crucial role in heading the Operations team and also oversaw Information Technology and Administration functions. He also served as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Company’s Wholly Owned Subsidiary in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. HDFC Asset Management Company Limited expressed its sincere appreciation for Mr. Babu’s significant contributions and wished him well for his future endeavors.
