Bharti Airtel Limited today announced its audited consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a robust financial performance, with consolidated revenues reaching ₹58,539 crore, marking an increase of 18.4% year-over-year (YoY) and 5.7% quarter-over-quarter (QoQ). This growth was primarily supported by strong performance in both its India and Africa operations.
Key Financial Highlights
Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹33,599 crore, with an improved EBITDA margin of 57.4%, up from 56.9% in the corresponding quarter last year. India operations contributed significantly, with revenues of ₹41,214 crore, up 9.7% YoY, driven by sustained portfolio premiumisation in Mobile and strong momentum in Homes and Airtel Business. India’s mobile revenue saw a 9.2% YoY increase, attributed to improved ARPU and growth in smartphone data customers.
The Homes segment delivered a strong 33.2% YoY revenue growth, and Airtel Business recorded a 12.0% YoY revenue growth. In Africa, the company’s business delivered solid revenue growth of 21.1% YoY in constant currency, with an 189 million customer base.
Strategic Developments
During the quarter, Bharti Airtel completed an EPS-accretive share swap transaction, increasing its stake in Airtel Africa PLC to over 79%. This strategic move reinforces the company’s conviction in Africa’s long-term growth potential. The company also highlighted its strong operational execution, with smartphone data customers increasing by 21.1 million YoY and mobile data consumption rising 36.0% YoY.
