The initial Show Cause cum demand notice (SCN) was for Rs. 869 Mn (excluding interest & penalty) relating to disputed input tax credit (ITC) stemming from wrongful availment of GST credit by vendors. The adjudicating authority has upheld the tax demand from DGGI, and the company is actively contesting this based on merits and legal counsel.

SCN Details: Case 2

Another Show Cause cum demand notice (SCN) was for Rs. 327 Mn (excluding interest & penalty), concerning disputed input tax credit (ITC) due to wrongful GST credit availment by vendors. Similar to the first case, the adjudicating authority has upheld the tax demand from DGGI. Zee Entertainment is contesting this order based on the merits of the case and legal advice.
