Background of the Issue

On April 16, 2025, Yes Bank informed stakeholders about an additional tax demand of ₹292.29 Crores determined by the Centralized Processing Center for the Assessment Year 2017-18. Following this determination, Yes Bank filed a rectification application with the Jurisdictional Assessing Officer (JAO).

Current Status

Based on the rectification order, the JAO has substantially reduced the additional tax demand. The bank continues to pursue relevant proceedings before the income tax authorities for the remaining demand.
