Wipro Secures $1 Billion Strategic Transformation Deal with Olam Group

Wipro Limited has announced a landmark eight-year strategic partnership with food and agri-business leader Olam Group. The contract, valued at over $1 billion with a committed spend of $800 million, focuses on end-to-end digital transformation using AI-powered solutions. As part of this comprehensive engagement, Wipro will also acquire Mindsprint, Olam Group’s IT and digital services business, to bolster its deep domain expertise in the food and agriculture sector.

Strategic Transformation Partnership

In a significant expansion of its digital consulting footprint, Wipro has entered into a multi-year deal with Singapore-headquartered Olam Group. The engagement is designed to drive operational effectiveness and sustainable growth across the company’s global ‘farm-to-fork’ value chain. By leveraging Wipro Intelligence™, the firm will implement AI-powered platforms to streamline farming, forecasting, trading, and supply chain operations for Olam Group.

Acquisition of Mindsprint

A core component of this deal is Wipro’s acquisition of Mindsprint, Olam Group’s internal IT and digital services arm. Mindsprint brings a workforce of over 3,200 professionals and a suite of proprietary IP-led solutions to the Wipro ecosystem. Key technologies included in the transaction are Farmsprint® for plantation management, Procuresprint® for agentic AI-enabled procurement, SprintAP™, Salessprint™, and the Tradesprint® commodity risk management platform.

Future Impact and Timeline

The acquisition of Mindsprint is expected to close by the end of June 2026, subject to standard regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Once integrated, the combination of Wipro’s global scale and Mindsprint’s industry-specific knowledge is set to catalyze innovation for Olam Group and enhance Wipro’s service offerings for other global clients within the food and agri-business industry.
