The total investment in the SPV will be up to INR 6.50 crores. Uno Minda will invest INR 5.25 Crores, while its subsidiary, Uno Minda Kyoraku Ltd. (UMKL), will contribute INR 1.25 Crores. The company will acquire upto 30% equity in the SPV. This investment is intended to facilitate the sourcing of power through wind and solar energy for Uno Minda’s units located in Gujarat.
Projected Timeline and Rationale
The project is aimed at availing open access to renewable power and is expected to be completed by Q3 2026-27. Hexa Sunshine Private Limited was incorporated on April 16, 2024. The investment will support the company’s objective to increase the share of renewable energy in its power consumption. There are no governmental or regulatory approvals required for the acquisition.
