Succession Details and Timeline
Mr. Sharma’s appointment will be effective from March 5, 2026. His appointment is for a full-time employment term approved by the Board. Conversely, the outgoing SMP, Ms. Shilpa Vaid, will cease to be the SMP of the Company effective at the end of business hours on March 31, 2026. Ms. Vaid is moving to take up a new leadership role within the global Diageo group.

His career highlights include holding regional, country, and global HR leadership roles at prominent organizations such as GSK, Philip Morris International (PMI), and Procter & Gamble (P&G).
His professional expertise centers on driving organization-wide transformation, capability building, and fostering cultural change. His experience spans end-to-end HR functions, notably serving as CHRO & EVP-HR for GSK India and leading People & Culture for PMI. He holds an MBA from SCMHRD and has completed a Human Resource Development Program from Cornell University.
Departure of Ms. Shilpa Vaid
Ms. Shilpa Vaid will be departing from her role as SMP upon taking up an undisclosed new assignment within the wider Diageo organization, effective April 1, 2026.
