TVS Motor Company Norton Unveils New Design Direction for Motorcycles

TVS Motor Company’s Norton Motorcycles has revealed the first official design sketch as part of its Resurgence campaign, signaling a new design direction for its upcoming generation of motorcycles. Professor Gerry McGovern OBE has been appointed as Chief Creative Advisor, working alongside the Board of Directors. Norton will unveil an all-new range of motorcycles later this year, marking a significant step in the brand’s evolution. Norton is investing over £200 million.

Norton’s Resurgence Campaign

Norton Motorcycles, under TVS Motor Company, has launched its Resurgence campaign by revealing an initial design sketch for its next-generation flagship superbike. This sketch indicates a shift towards a modern design language while retaining Norton’s British heritage. The new flagship model will be manufactured at Norton’s Solihull headquarters.

Key Personnel and Vision

Professor Gerry McGovern OBE has been named Chief Creative Advisor, collaborating with Norton’s Head of Design, Simon Skinner, and the Board of Directors. This collaboration aims to modernize Norton’s design philosophy. McGovern noted that motorcycles and cars share fundamental values, with both stirring emotion and becoming objects of desire.

Future Plans and Investment

An all-new range of motorcycles is set to be revealed later this year at EICMA in Milan. Norton’s owner, TVS Motor Company, is investing over £200 million to reinforce Solihull as a global center of excellence for motorcycle manufacturing. Since the start of 2025, Norton has increased its workforce by 25% in preparation for this new era of expansion.

Sketch Design Details

According to Simon Skinner, the released sketch is a blend of Norton’s rich heritage with a bold new future. It serves as a preview of the Resurgence strategy, with more details expected to be unveiled in November.
