Profile of Mr. Srinivasan Varadarajan
Mr. Varadarajan brings substantial expertise to the Board, boasting more than three decades of experience in the financial services sector, covering commercial banking, Investment banking, International banking, Treasury, and Global Markets.
Previous Leadership Roles
Prior to his current advisory practice, Mr. Varadarajan served as the Non-Executive Chairman of Union Bank of India. His distinguished career also includes serving as the Deputy Managing Director of Axis Bank, having joined as Executive Director – Corporate Banking in 2009. Earlier roles involved leadership positions with J.P. Morgan (JPM), India, including serving as Managing Director and Head of Markets, and a decade with the ICICI Group.
Committee and Advisory Experience
He has significant regulatory exposure, having served on several RBI Committees and acting as an Advisor for the insolvency resolution of Reliance Capital Limited. He has also held Chairmanships at the Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association (FIMMDA) and the Primary Dealers Association of India (PDAI). Furthermore, he currently holds Independent Director roles at India Debt Resolution Company Limited and AMC Repo Clearing Corporation Ltd, and is a member of the SEBI AIF committee.
