The Board of Directors has formally approved the appointment of Ms. Ina Bajwa to the position of Chief People Officer, effective the same date. Ms. Bajwa joins the company as a senior management personnel based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Organizational Role Adjustments
Following this appointment, Mr. Ameya Deshpande will transition out of his responsibility for overseeing the Human Resources function. Importantly, Mr. Deshpande will retain his key leadership role as the company’s Chief Strategy Officer.
Profile of the New Chief People Officer
Ms. Ina Bajwa steps into this role bringing a substantial background of 22 years in human resource leadership across diverse sectors including retail, e-commerce, technology, banking, and infrastructure, both in India and globally. Her prior experience includes high-level CXO and global leadership positions within the Tata Group, such as CHRO of Tata 1mg and Chief Talent Officer at Tata Digital. Furthermore, she served as the Group Head of Talent & Engagement for Landmark Group Middle East, overseeing talent strategy for nine retail brands.
Ms. Bajwa holds a PGDM in HR from KJ Somaiya Institute of Management & Research and is an alumnus of the Tata Group Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard Business School. Her expertise spans talent and succession management, leadership development, organization design, culture transformation, and HR digitization.
