The Shipping Corporation of India Limited Leadership Transition at Kolkata Regional Office

The Shipping Corporation of India Limited has announced a key leadership transition at its Kolkata Regional Office. Following the superannuation of Shri Sujoy Baug, Shri Debanjan Nandi has officially assumed the role of in-charge of the regional office, effective April 1, 2026. This change marks a strategic shift in regional management responsibilities for the company.

Leadership Changes

As part of the company’s organizational updates, Shri Sujoy Baug, who served as the Deputy General Manager, retired via superannuation on March 31, 2026. Consequently, Shri Debanjan Nandi has taken over as the in-charge of the Kolkata Regional Office, effective from April 1, 2026.

Profile of the New Regional Lead

Shri Debanjan Nandi brings over 31 years of extensive experience within the shipping industry. He joined the organization’s Kolkata office in 1995 and has held various significant portfolios, including Head of Department (HOD) for Commercial, Personnel and Administration, and B&T Division. He also served as the Regional Head at Port Blair. Shri Nandi is an alumnus of XIMB BBSR and NMIS, and holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree.
