Tejas Networks has been selected to supply IP/MPLS Routers for multiple packages of the BharatNet Phase III project. Tejas will partner with NCC to upgrade broadband infrastructure across 30,841 Gram Panchayats (GPs) and 411 Blocks. This initiative aims to enhance rural connectivity and bridge the digital divide. The project will deploy Tejas’ industry-leading routers in Madhya Pradesh, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Uttarakhand.
BharatNet Phase III Deployment
Tejas Networks [BSE: 540595, NSE: TEJASNET] announced that it has started shipping its IP/MPLS Routers and Management System. The systems are destined for Madhya Pradesh, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Uttarakhand packages, under the BharatNet Phase III project. The announcement was made on October 23, 2025.
Partnership with NCC
Tejas Networks is partnering with NCC, to upgrade the existing middle-mile broadband infrastructure from a linear to ring topology. This upgrade will cover 30,841 GPs and 411 Block locations. IP-MPLS technology will be used.
Government Initiative
BharatNet, funded by the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN), aims to extend high-speed broadband connectivity to every village. The aim is to empower rural India and foster inclusive growth. The network infrastructure will be a national asset accessible to service providers for online education, telemedicine, and e-governance services.
