Tejas Networks Delivers 17,000 IP/MPLS Routers for BharatNet Phase III Milestone

Tejas Networks announced on March 30, 2026, that it has cumulatively shipped over 17,000 TJ1400 IP/MPLS routers for the Government of India’s BharatNet Phase III project. These devices are being deployed across 9 states and 5 union territories via Project Implementation Agency (PIA) partners, supporting the middle-mile network expansion. Tejas Networks is slated to supply nearly 60,000 TJ1400 routers in total for this national digital empowerment initiative.

Tejas Networks Reaches Major BharatNet Milestone

On March 30, 2026, Tejas Networks confirmed achieving a significant operational milestone by shipping over 17,000 TJ1400 IP/MPLS routers designated for the BharatNet Phase III project. The company’s industry-leading routers are currently carrying live traffic across multiple locations within 9 states and 5 union territories, managed by its Project Implementation Agency (PIA) partners.

The overall commitment for BharatNet Phase III involves supplying nearly 60,000 TJ1400 routers. These devices will facilitate crucial middle-mile connectivity deployed across more than 55,000 Gram Panchayats (GPs) and 2,000 Blocks nationwide.
