CWPL aims to promote chess events and leagues globally. The initial investment is ₹100,000. This strategic move aligns with Tech Mahindra’s interest in expanding into new areas of sports and entertainment.

Tech Mahindra has established Chessworks Private Limited (CWPL) as a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary. The incorporation was finalized on December 14, 2025.

Business Objectives

CWPL’s primary focus will be on organizing and promoting chess events and leagues on a global scale. This initiative aims to tap into the growing interest in chess and related activities.

Financial Details

The authorized share capital of CWPL is ₹100,000, divided into 10,000 equity shares of ₹10 each. The subscribed and paid-up share capital is also ₹100,000, fully owned by Allyis India Private Limited (AIPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tech Mahindra.

Future Plans

CWPL is a newly incorporated entity and is yet to commence business operations. Future plans include developing chess-related events and building related digital platforms.
