Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and AMD have expanded their collaboration to co-develop and deploy the AMD ‘Helios’ rack-scale AI infrastructure in India via TCS’s subsidiary, HyperVault AI Data Center Limited. This initiative supports India’s national AI goals by offering a blueprint for an Al-ready data center supporting up to 200 MW of capacity, utilizing AMD Instinct GPUs and EPYC CPUs.
Strategic Expansion in Indian AI Ecosystem
On February 16, 2026, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a significant strategic collaboration with AMD to introduce the state-of-the-art ‘Helios’ rack-scale AI architecture across India. This joint effort aims to accelerate the deployment of high-performance computing infrastructure crucial for the nation’s growing Artificial Intelligence initiatives.
The infrastructure design will be co-developed by TCS, through its subsidiary HyperVault AI Data Center Limited (HyperVault), and AMD. This moves beyond pilot stages, providing enterprises with a foundation for large-scale AI adoption.
Technology Backbone: AMD Helios Platform
The ‘Helios’ platform is purpose-built to support sovereign AI factories. The planned infrastructure will be powered by leading AMD components, including:
- AMD Instinct™ MI455X GPUs
- Next-generation AMD EPYC™ “Venice” CPUs
- AMD Pensando™ Vulcano NICs
- The open ROCm™ software ecosystem
This strategic partnership will deliver an Al-ready data center blueprint capable of supporting up to 200 MW of capacity. Both companies plan to work closely with hyperscalers and AI companies in India to rapidly accelerate data center build-outs.
Executive Commentary on Future Readiness
