Tata Technologies Announces InnoVent 2026 Winners, Focusing on Smart Mobility

Tata Technologies has announced the winners of InnoVent 2026, its flagship engineering innovation hackathon focused on Smart Mobility. The event engaged 10,247 students from 404 colleges across 28 states in India, resulting in 2,822 unique projects. Top teams received cash prizes, and all 42 finalists were offered career opportunities. The competition challenged students to develop solutions for the future of smart mobility.

InnoVent 2026 Highlights

Tata Technologies successfully concluded the third edition of InnoVent, supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS). This year’s theme centered around Innovating the Future of Smart Mobility Powered by Intelligence, Engineered for 2030. The initiative aimed to foster future-ready skills among young engineers and enhance their career prospects in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.

Key highlights of InnoVent 2026 include:

  • 10,247 participants from 404 colleges across 28 states in India.
  • 2,822 unique projects addressing real-world challenges.
  • 39% participation by women.

Award Winners

The top teams were awarded cash prizes totaling INR 4.5 lakhs. The winners are:

First Prize – ₹3,00,000

  • Team Drushti (CMR College of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad) for Intelligent Customization of Vehicle Infotainment System for Visually Impaired Drivers based on Medical Conditions.

Second Prize – ₹1,00,000

  • Team The T-Factor (Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai) for Avoiding Breakdowns Through Automatic Self-Prevention Using Edge-based AI.

Third Prize – ₹50,000

  • Team SwarmSync (International Institute of Information Technology (IIT), Pune) for Intelligent Fleet Operations Management using V2X Communication.
