Q3 FY26 Sales Overview
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has released its sales figures for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q3 FY26). The period, which covers the three months ending December 31, 2025, saw a reduction in both wholesale and retail volumes due to several impacting factors.
Wholesale Performance
JLR’s wholesale volumes for Q3 FY26 totaled 59,200 units (excluding the Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV), marking a 43.3% decrease compared to Q3 FY25 and a 10.6% decrease from Q2 FY26. Declines were registered across all key markets:
- UK: Down 0.9%
- North America: Down 64.4%
- Europe: Down 47.6%
- China: Down 46.0%
- MENA: Down 8.5%
- Overseas: Down 50.4%
The model mix saw Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender models accounting for 74.3% of the total wholesale volume, up from 70.3% in Q3 FY25 but down from 76.7% in the previous quarter. Year-to-date wholesale volumes reached 212,600, a 26.6% decrease year-over-year.
Retail Performance
Retail sales for Q3 FY26, including CJLR, reached 79,600 units, a 25.1% decrease compared to the previous year and a 6.7% decrease compared to Q2 FY26. Retail volumes also declined across all markets:
- UK: Down 13.3%
- North America: Down 37.7%
- Europe: Down 26.9%
- China: Down 18.4%
- MENA: Down 18.7%
- Overseas: Down 14.1%
Year-to-date retail volumes totaled 259,400 units, a 19.1% decrease year-over-year.
Factors Impacting Sales
The sales figures for the quarter were impacted by production stoppages following a cyber incident and the subsequent time needed to distribute vehicles globally after production resumed. The planned wind-down of legacy Jaguar models ahead of the launch of new Jaguar models, as well as incremental US tariffs affecting JLR’s US exports, also contributed to the volume decline.
