Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with Sybyl and iXAfrica to accelerate sovereign cloud adoption in East Africa. The tripartite agreement aims to empower public and private enterprises with locally hosted, secure cloud solutions complying with regional data protection laws. TCS will deploy its Sovereign Secure Cloud™, while Sybyl will handle local implementation. iXAfrica will provide the AI-ready data center infrastructure, ensuring data sovereignty and boosting digital independence in the region.

Strategic Cloud Partnership

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Sybyl, and iXAfrica Data Centre Limited have formed a strategic alliance to establish and scale sovereign cloud infrastructure in Kenya and other East African nations. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to provide secure, locally hosted cloud solutions to governments, enterprises, and innovators. The goal is to meet national data residency and sovereignty requirements, marking a significant step in Africa’s digital transformation. The announcement was made on November 13, 2025.

TCS will contribute its sovereign cloud expertise, while Sybyl will provide regional engineering and customer support. iXAfrica will offer secure, scalable, AI-ready data center infrastructure.
