Syrma SGS Technology Clarifies Status of ₹1,600 Crore Andhra Pradesh Investment

Syrma SGS Technology has reaffirmed its commitment to a ₹1,600 crore manufacturing project in Andhra Pradesh. Following media reports, the company clarified that the development, which includes a 26.70-acre facility for PCB and component production, was previously disclosed. The project, being executed in partnership with South Korea’s Shinhyup Electronics, is expected to generate over 1,000 direct jobs and serve as a key anchor for India’s next-generation electronics production ecosystem.

Clarification on Strategic Expansion

In response to recent media inquiries, Syrma SGS Technology has issued a formal clarification confirming the status of its major electronics manufacturing project in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The company emphasized that this development, involving a total investment of approximately ₹1,600 crore, has been part of its long-term strategic roadmap and was formally communicated to stakeholders in late 2025.

Project Scope and Partnerships

The facility is currently under construction and is designed to produce a comprehensive range of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), including single-layer, multi-layer, HDI, and Flex variants, along with Copper Clad Laminate (CCL). This project is being driven by the company’s subsidiary, Syrma Strategic Electronics Pvt. Ltd., through a high-tech joint venture with South Korea-based Shinhyup Electronics.

Economic and Employment Impact

Strategically located in the Naidupeta Industrial Zone, the site has received significant support from the state government, including land allocation and various incentive packages under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Policy 4.0. Beyond its technical capacity, the plant is expected to act as a significant employment hub, creating over 1,000 direct jobs. By leveraging cutting-edge manufacturing technology and global partnerships, Syrma SGS aims to bolster domestic capabilities and strengthen its position as a key contributor to India’s growing electronics hardware sector.
