Sundaram Finance Record Disbursements Drive Strong H1FY26 Results

Sundaram Finance announced record disbursements of Rs. 15,423 crores in H1FY26, with Q2 disbursements up 18% to Rs. 8,113 crores. Assets under management (AUM) grew by 15.3% to Rs. 55,419 crores. Profit after tax rose by 27% to Rs. 823 crores. The company reported a gross stage 3 assets at 2.03% and capital adequacy ratio at 19.3%.

Key Financial Highlights

Sundaram Finance reported its highest-ever disbursements, reaching Rs. 15,423 crores for H1FY26. Q2FY26 witnessed an 18% increase in disbursements, totaling Rs. 8,113 crores. The company’s Assets Under Management (AUM) experienced a substantial 15.3% growth, climbing to Rs. 55,419 crores.

Profit after tax (PAT) closed at Rs. 823 crores, reflecting a 27% increase compared to H1FY25. Gross Stage 3 assets stood at 2.03% as of September 30, 2025, while Net Stage 3 assets were at 1.13%. The Return on Assets (ROA) was 2.72% for H1FY26, and the Capital Adequacy Ratio stood at 19.3%.

Management Commentary

According to Harsha Viji, Executive Vice Chairman, Q2FY26 began with macroeconomic challenges. However, the introduction of GST 2.0 reforms and the country’s rating upgrade have improved sentiments. Team Sundaram achieved a 15.3% AUM growth, strong asset quality, and a 27% year-on-year profit growth. The group companies have continued to deliver robust results.

Standalone Performance

Standalone disbursements for H1FY26 increased by 12% to Rs. 15,423 crores. Net interest income (NII) grew by 23% to Rs. 1,603 crores in H1FY26. Profits from operations increased by 16% to Rs. 937 crores. Return on assets (ROA) for H1FY26 closed at 2.72% and Return on equity (ROE) stood at 15.91%.

Group Company Performance

The assets under management in lending and general insurance businesses reached Rs. 83,586 crores. The asset management business closed with assets under management of Rs. 82,608 crores. Royal Sundaram reported a Gross Written Premium (GWP) of Rs. 2,352 crores. Sundaram Home Finance continued to grow strongly with disbursements up by 9% to Rs. 3,169 crores.
